Newborns & New Parents
Babies and Bumps
August 27, 2021
At the moment of birth, new parents can feel like they’ve just climbed to the top of the first hill of a roller coaster and there’s that brief pause before everything goes rushing down. It’s exciting, exhilarating, and a lot to take in very quickly. We know exactly where you are and we understand the physical and emotional aspects of birth and life with a newborn. We’re here to make sure you understand what’s happening, what your options are, and that you feel empowered to make the best choices for you and your family.
New parents are often so focused on the needs of their newborn that they ignore their own needs. We’ll help you focus on both. How to set up your home to care for an infant, what to expect in the “fourth trimester,” approaches to pelvic floor recovery, new born sleep patterns, breastfeeding, and much more. We also like digging into those subjects that people aren’t always comfortable with but we know are foundational to your parenting journey. Like how a newborn can affect your relationships with your partners, family, and friends.
We host virtual events throughout year – most of which are complementary – that help you learn what you didn’t know you didn’t know. These include national experts and local providers like lactation consultants, sleep experts, pediatricians, pelvic floor therapists, homeopathic care practitioners, and more. We also hold a number of signature in-person events in select cities with seminars, demonstrations, and (of course) great gift bags and prizes. In addition to experts and providers, we connect you to brands and great insights about their products. Whether you’re looking for convenience or luxury, expect to find options you never knew existed and make smart decisions about what you buy.
Is there something you need that we’re not thinking of? Just drop us a line at hello@babies-and-bumps.com. Understanding what you need and how your needs change over time is critical to our mission, so we welcome your thoughts and requests.
